A recall has been initiated for bread at Grand Central Bakery after a nail was found inside a loaf.

The recall spans 517 loaves of Potato Sourdough bread, which were distributed on Monday, FOX 13 reported.

The loaves were sold in paper bags at grocery stores, unpackaged at grocery stores, and directly to customers at cafes and wholesalers.

Grocery stores that received the bread include Central Co-op, Fred Meyer, Hilltop Red Apple, Ken’s Markets, Marketime Foods, Metropolitan Markets, PCC Markets, QFC, Town & Country Market, Thriftway Stores, Whole Foods, and Yakima Fruit Markets, according to FOX 13.

The cafes that sold the loaves were Burien, Eastlake, Wallingford, and Wedgewood.

How to get a refund from Grand Central Bakery

Customers can contact Grand Central Bakery at seasales@grandcentralbakery.com or via the company’s website to request a refund.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported as a result of the recalled products, according to The Seattle Times. The bakery told the media outlet the recall was related to a single batch of dough.

Grand Central Bakery opened in 1989 in Pioneer Square and grew from 80 loaves of bread a day into thousands of products delivered to grocers, customers, and restaurants throughout Seattle and Portland, according to Grand Central Bakery’s website.

Cafes can be found in the Seattle and Portland areas.
