Salomon B. Levin, a Juanita High School student arrested in connection to threats made against the school, prompting its closure Monday, has been charged with two felony counts of harassment.

Juanita High School shut down following violent threats online

The King County Prosecutor’s Office is asking bail to be set at $200,000, noting that he is an extreme risk to the public.

The student has also been ordered not to set foot on any Lake Washington School District campus or have any contact with anyone at the schools.

Screenshots shared by Kirkland parents with KIRO Newsradio appear to show the student talking on social media about carrying out a mass shooting like Uvalde.

“For those who have been talking **** about me. Just remember that people who talked **** about other people at the school in the country have ended up dead or worse and after the recent school shooting in Uvalde Texas and you talking **** about me, that’s a recipe for disaster so for everyone’s sake don’t give me a reason to put you in your place. School shootings in this country can be easily avoidable if we just be nice to each other. Don’t throw your life away just to insult someone,” Levin’s social media post reads

Levin messaged other students claiming to be in possession of his father’s gun while admitting to Kirkland police that he wanted to “silence [other students] into submission,” according to a Kirkland Police Department report.

Kirkland Police Sergeant Eric Karp says they received dozens of reports from terrified parents.

Levin will appear in King County court later in June.
