Kam Chancellor has been spotted returning to work, according to 710 ESPN Seattle’s Gee Scott.
“He’s back,” Scott told Seattle’s Morning News on KIRO Radio. “I got a text from him this morning and Kam and I talk every day. We’ve talked every day for the last 40 or 50 days that he has been gone.”
“There’s been a hold out between Kam Chancellor and the Seahawks, but this morning he is back,” he said. “He was on his way to work when I first got contact with him from his house in Newcastle, then he texted me up with confirmation that he was in the building…”
Scott tweeted that he had good reason to believe that Chancellor would be “headed to work” at 6:20 a.m. and soon followed with another tweet that the player was “in the building.”
ESPN Reporter Adam Schefter has also reported that Chancellor sent a text message to his ESPN colleague that confirmed he is returning to the Seahawks.
That text message stated:
Here’s what Kam Chancellor texted Stephen A. Smith: “Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren’t. God forgives all, why can’t i? Time to help us get back to the big dance . I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can’t let my Dawg down….Real talk.”
I have reason to believe that @Kam_Chancellor is headed to work right now.. #Seahawks
