A crashed log truck lost its load on southbound I-5 in Olympia near Custer Way Wednesday, temporarily blocking all lanes of traffic. Lanes were reopened beginning around 12:50 p.m.
According to WSDOT, crews chained up to remove logs sitting in the two left lanes, stopping all traffic in the area for roughly 30 minutes. The backup initially extended almost two miles.
Work is continuing to remove the remaining logs in the road, although normal traffic has now resumed in the meantime.
