Lynnwood police officers located a missing 14-year-old Thursday morning after she had been missing for nearly a day.

Elizabeth Harwood, 14, had been missing since Wednesday when she left her home in the 500 block of D Ave in Snohomish. She was planning to ride her bike to a friend’s house but never arrived. The Everett Herald reports the family searched for three hours and then called to report her missing.

Harwood was found with a 60-year-old man, who was taken into custody by Lynnwood Police for an outstanding warrant.

The relationship between the man and Harwood is unknown at this time.

According to police, she appears to be uninjured but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

The sheriff’s office said Harwood has the mental capacity of a younger child.
