Motorcyclist hits two people in crosswalk, then runs off

Seattle police hope to track down a motorcyclist they say struck two people in a crosswalk and then took off.
One of the pedestrians was knocked unconscious by the impact of the collision Friday evening.
Around 8:20 p.m., police say someone riding a red motorcycle failed to stop at a crosswalk on Martin Luther King Jr. Way at South Alaska St.
The bike hit a 59-year-old man and 57-year-old woman.
When police arrived, they found the woman unconscious and in critical condition.
Emergency responders say she suffered significant trauma to the head.
Medics from the Seattle Fire Department arrived soon after and provided medical treatment for the two victims.
A crew from American Medical Response transported the man to Harborview Medical Center, in stable condition.
A Seattle Fire Department ambulance took the unconscious woman to Harborview.
According to the collision investigation team reviewing the circumstances of the accident, the motorcyclist was going southbound on M.L. King Jr. when he slammed into the two people walking in the crosswalk.
So far, police have not identified the motorcyclist.
They are asking for help finding the person.
Police say the motorcyclist ran from the scene of the accident.
The police department says detectives with its Traffic Collision Investigation Squad have been assigned to the investigation into the crash.
They are asking anyone with information about the crash, or the identity or location of the person riding the motorcycle, to call 911 right away.
