Aug 7, 2018, 12:11 PM | Updated: 12:30 pm

Residents in North Bend were ordered to shelter in place while crews responded to a major gas leak Tuesday morning.

The order was lifted at 12:13 p.m.

The Snoqualmie Fire Department warned people to stay away from SE 140th Street and 457th Avenue SE where a gas main fractured. Roads were further closed around the Tannerwood and Wood River communities.

Any people living close to the gas leak were instructed to shelter in place. They were also told to close all window, doors, and any other entries that could allow fumes into the home.
