Initial reports describe one man chasing another man and shooting at him.

A woman later called saying that someone was banging on her window. The woman hid in her house, and when deputies arrived they found a dead man inside her home with the back sliding glass door broken.

“We don’t know if gunfire broke the window or if he ended up collapsing inside her window,” Sgt. Darren Moss Jr. said to KIRO 7 TV. “The slider’s broken and there’s a dead guy on her floor.”

Police say that the shooting happened at the home across the street and then continued into the woman’s backyard.

Deputies believe that the shooter ran into the nearby woods. They deployed a K-9 unit and air support but they were not able to find the suspect.

The victim has not been identified yet, but police say he did not live in the area. He does have some association with the home where the shooting started though.

No one else was injured during this shooting, and police are still investigating.
