Poulsbo café supporting homeless youth reopens with updated menu, hours

The Coffee Oasis, a nonprofit organization providing services and support to youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Pierce and Kitsap counties, recently reopened its Poulsbo café on Northeast Iverson Street.
The café is now open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday, and in addition to serving coffee from its roastery in Bremerton, the café expanded its menu to include hot and cold bagel sandwiches, pastries, and other small bites.
The café closed its doors for more than a month due to staffing and operational consistency challenges, according to Cody Clark, the community development manager for The Coffee Oasis.
“The closure allowed us to strengthen our operations so we could reopen with a renewed focus on providing a consistent, high-quality experience for every customer,” Clark told West Sound over email. “… Our vision for The Poulsbo Coffee Oasis is to become a place people choose not only because they love the coffee and food, but because they believe in our mission and know their everyday purchases are creating hope for local youth.”
