Construction-site stabbing turned twisted fantasy: ‘I wanted to kill as many people as I could’

Seattle police say they arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly threatening to kill as many people as possible with a knife and hammer.
A Seattle Police incident report says on Friday at noon, the man showed up at a house under construction in the 7000 block of 31st Avenue NE.
The workers told police the man stayed at the site for several hours. When a supervisor asked him to leave, he hid behind the structure.

When a worker checked on him, the suspect used a large knife to stab him in the back. The victim survived.
According to the incident report, after having been read Miranda rights, the suspect admitted he showed up that day planning “to kill as many people as he could,” that he wanted to use a knife and a hammer in order to make it as gruesome as possible, and that he wanted to be seen.
The suspect allowed officers to search his backpack and found a rope and other items.
He was booked into jail for assault.
