You are being heard, is the message from Senator Patty Murray.

GOP agrees to FBI probe of Kavanaugh, delaying Senate vote

Murray addressed, on Friday, sex abuse survivors who feel their voices are being ignored as the full Senate prepares to vote on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

“I’m not giving up,” Murray said. “I’m not going to give up this fight to make sure that women who bravely come forward are not ignored, swept under the rug, or silenced by powerful men.”

Kavanaugh cleared the key procedural hurdle Friday, but his confirmation prospects were still deeply uncertain as Republicans agreed to ask for a new FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations.

“I stand with millions and millions of women and men across the country who are watching the United States Senate very closely, right now, and they’re not going to give up either,” Murray said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
