Problems with an expansion joint on NB I-5 into Seattle were resolved around 10 a.m. Friday, but not before they caused major problems on the roads.

Several roadways into the city, including I-90, were backed up as crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation made repairs to the road near the Seneca exit.

KIRO Radio’s Chris Sullivan reported there were at least 30- to 40-minute delays. SeaTac to Seattle was about 50 minutes.
