It’s not everyday Richard Sherman gets stumped.

“I’ve got nothing for you right now,” Sherman told reporters at a news conference Wednesday when asked about what we should call the Seahawks stellar linebacking corps.

Sherman was touting the group in the gathering at Seahawks headquarters, saying they’ve been unfairly overlooked.

“We’re not the ones overlooking them…but I feel like they deserve a lot more credit than they’ve been given,” he said.

Sherman called particular attention to Bobby Wagner, who is starting to get mentioned as one of the league’s best.

“I felt like Bobby had a Pro Bowl season last year with the turnovers that he created, the sacks, the tackles. You know there were other guys who were in the Pro Bowl with similar or less stats than he had, for him to not get the nod was kind of weird,” he said.

So as long as there’s a Legion of Boom, don’t Wagner, K.J. Wright, Malcolm Smith and the others deserve their own moniker? Sherman says absolutely, but he has no idea what it should be.

“They’re a great group. They’re just underrated right now, they’re the overlooked guys right now and I think that should change. I mean hopefully this helps change it. People should start watching them a little more. They do a great job,” Sherman says.

Alright 12s, what do you think?
