SR 520, Mercer closures will make for rough traffic weekend

‘You can’t get there from here’ might be the theme for this weekend as two major road closures will likely get in your way.
Interstate 90 will be your only way across Lake Washington this weekend.
The 520 bridge will be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday through 5 a.m. Monday. The closure extends from I-405 to Montlake Boulevard. Workers are realigning lanes, adding signs and doing some drainage work.
Mercer Street will also be closed. This closure begins at 4 a.m. Saturday and is expected to last through Monday.
You’ll still be able to get on and off I-5 at Mercer, but the street itself will be closed between 5th and 9th Avenues.
5th Avenue will also be closed between Roy and Mercer Streets.
