A severe thunderstorm moved north through Western Washington Thursday, knocking down trees and power lines throughout the region.
More than 36,000 Puget Sound Energy customers were without power by 10:30 p.m.
Sound Transit reported that southbound trains were running 30 minutes late because the inclement weather was causing “signal issues” during the evening commute.
Some flights at Sea-Tac Airport were delayed as the storm moved through the region.

Be careful out there. Lots of rain and standing water make for bad driving conditions. Use caution during this evening’s commute. pic.twitter.com/PsVD1W3COn
