Twin City Foods to lay off 100+ employees at Ellensburg warehouse this fall

Twin City Foods, Inc. is laying off more than 100 employees in November, a worker adjustment and retraining notification (WARN) confirmed.
Twin City Foods is a frozen vegetable production company that distributes goods primarily to Washington and Michigan. Its company headquarters is in Stanwood.
The layoffs affect 109 employees at the company’s warehouse in Ellensburg, located at 501 W. 4th Avenue. The layoffs are expected to begin Nov. 2.
Last year, Twin City Foods introduced its Bold Harvest product line, which combines “premium-quality” ingredients with modern preparation methods to deliver a restaurant-quality experience through its prepared food.
“At Twin City Foods, we’re delivering a new standard of quality, service, and innovation,” Dale Goyer, the president of Twin City Foods, stated. “With Bold Harvest, we’re developing a new benchmark of quality, innovation, and bold flavor — giving consumers an exciting new way to enjoy vegetables.”
No Meat Factory closes Stanwood site
In July, a plant-based food manufacturer announced it would be closing its Stanwood site, resulting in 113 layoffs.
The company, No Meat Factory USA Inc., will officially shutter its warehouse on Sept. 16. No Meat Factory specializes in creating plant-based alternative meals.
The company took over the Stanwood location in 2023 after Twin City Foods closed down its operations there in 2017. According to The Everett Herald, it invested $20 million in renovations and improvements into the warehouse.
