UPDATE: Seattle police says they are now just seeking a red or maroon Chevy Tahoe SUV in the hit-and-run Tuesday night that left a 7-year-old girl seriously injured.
Police originally reported the girl was struck by two cars, but after further interviewing witnesses they determined a second car seen at the incident was not involved
The driver hit the girl near Martin Luther King Jr. Way and South Genesee Street just after 6:30 p.m., said Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore.
Medics found the girl unresponsive. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center. She is in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Witnesses told police that a red or maroon Chevy Tahoe SUV hit the child as she crossed the street.
Police originally reported the girl was 10 years old, but now say she is 7.
