Wizards just came to the rescue of this Seahawk

He must have had a lot of mana stored up, because when thieves dealt an aggro attack against Seahawks’ Cassius Marsh this week, his Northwest neighbors came to his rescue.
“We came out and read him a letter saying, ‘Hey, we heard you fell on some bad luck and the Seahawks are always caring about those around them, we wanted to show you the same love back,” said Tony Pagliocco.
Marsh’s collection of Magic: The Gathering cards was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in downtown Seattle earlier this week. The collection is among his most prized possessions.

The Seattle Times reports that Marsh estimates his Magic card collection is worth $20,000-25,000.
“I’m a nerd, for sure,” Marsh told the Times. “I’ve been playing since I was 11. How people like gaming, I like cards.”
When word got out that Marsh suffered an alpha attack at the hands of Seattle thieves, Wizards of the Coast stepped up, and with a little synergy, so did Pagliocco.
Pagliocco works at Wizards of the Coast — the company that produces the game Magic: The Gathering. He heard about what happened and immediately got to work contacting Marsh to help out. Pagliocco was unaware, but Wizards of the Coast was also working its own spell at the same time.
“Cassius called me last night,” Pagliocco said. “We talked for about 30 minutes, mostly Magic related.”
When he got to work the next day he found out his company had the same idea, so they all brought their packages to Marsh at the Seahawks practice Thursday.
“I pulled from my personal collection, at home,” Pagliocco said. “What I did was on me, it wasn’t sponsored by Wizards. Wizards put together a fantastic care package, too … It was great to see how happy he was about it.”
“We told him that he was welcome to come to the office one day and we would pair him up against some hall of fame players that work for us now,” he said. “And he got super excited about that.”
Marsh got stocked up with fresh packs of cards, booster packs, and some commemorative items.
“He was an awesome guy,” Pagliocco said. “So down to earth, and he really understands the game. He’s a defensive player for the Seahawks and you wonder what their knowledge of the game is going to be, and it’s really up there.”
