Woman hit and killed by car while walking in Redmond

A 70-year-old woman was killed while walking in Redmond on Friday morning.
Redmond police say the woman was hit by a car in the 11400 block of Avondale Road around 4 a.m.
All lanes of Avondale Road have reopened after two hours of closures.
KIRO 7 reports the woman was not walking in a crosswalk when she was hit. Police believe the driver, who remained at the scene, was not impaired at the time of the incident, according to KIRO 7.
