Washington continues to shatter previous voting records, having received nearly 3.3 million ballots statewide as of Sunday.

That totals 67.6% of all registered voters who’ve sent in their ballots ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. At this point in the 2016 election, 43.9% of ballots had been turned in.

Several voting districts now crested the 70% mark as well, including Clallam, Columbia, Ferry, Island, Jefferson, King, Kittitas, Lincoln, Mason, Pacific, San Juan, Whatcom, and Whitman counties.

King County also reported that as of Monday, it has now received 80% of ballots.

This comes as cities have created in-person voting centers, including one inside CenturyLink Field in Seattle. At these centers, voters are able to register, receive their ballots, and cast their votes in one single trip; King County has seven such sites. They will remain open Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

King County Elections expects lines at voting centers to get longer the closer we get to Election Day, with the state expecting roughly 500,000 people to turn their ballots in on Tuesday. The fastest way to get your ballot in right now is to bring it to any one of dozens of drop boxes across the region. You can see the full list of locations here.

On Election Day, MyNorthwest will be providing end-to-end coverage, with insight from KIRO Radio’s Dave Ross, Colleen O’Brien, Dori Monson, and more.
