Teamwork saved a man’s life during a comedy show in Spokane Friday night.

The man collapsed from a heart attack 10 minutes into comedian Drew Lynch’s set.

Lynch, also known as The Stuttering Comedian, said people in the crowd quickly cleared space and jumped into action.

The man had no pulse for five minutes—but survived.

Lynch posted an emotional video on Instagram, calling it “a miracle,” and said it restored his faith in people.

“The fact that I just got to witness us just a village, basically, of people just working together and understanding the stakes of the situation and being good-natured,” Lynch said.

Lynch visited the man the next day in the hospital, according to The Spokesman-Review. He said the man was in good spirits, cracking jokes, and talking about his job as a speech therapist.

“Thank you, Spokane, you should be very proud,” Lynch said.
