She drives kids from shelters to school every day. The Circle made sure she got to Lumen Field

When KIRO host Gee Scott launched The Circle, the goal was simple: recognize the people in our community who spend their lives showing up for others.
For the Seahawks’ first regular-season home game at Lumen Field, that mission hit home.
Longtime listeners of “The Gee and Ursula Show” on KIRO Newsradio, Lynnette Murphy and Carla Archambault, joined a call expecting a quick conversation about why Lynnette was nominated to win. Instead, they found out Lynnette had been selected to receive Seahawks tickets through The Circle.
They were genuinely stunned and grateful.
The reason Carla picked up the phone
Lynnette was nominated by her friend Carla, who described a person who consistently puts others before herself. Even after surviving a serious motorcycle accident two years ago, Lynnette continues to dedicate her days to helping kids get where they need to be.
Through her work, she transports children to and from school, including those living in shelters and homeless encampments, ensuring they have access to education and support.
Just days before the Seahawks game, Lynnette was involved in another accident when her vehicle was sideswiped, leaving her without the car she relies on to do that important work.
What stuck with Carla wasn’t Lynnette’s resilience. It was where her concern was focused.
“The biggest thing she was worried about through the loss of her car is she can’t drive the kiddos around,” Carla wrote after the game.
What The Circle is all about
For Gee and The Circle, that’s exactly the kind of person worth celebrating.
The reward? A memorable day at Lumen Field, where Lynnette and Carla watched the Seahawks open the regular-season home schedule with a win over the Patriots.
Afterward, Carla sent a note thanking Gee, KIRO Newsradio, and everyone involved.
“I personally wanted to say how thankful I am for you seeing how impactful Lynnette’s story was,” Carla wrote. “She is so very humble and kind, and I am thankful she is my friend.”
Stories like Lynnette’s are the reason The Circle exists. For every home game during the Seahawks season, Gee will recognize another deserving member of our community with Seahawks tickets and a chance to create memories they’ll never forget.
