Amanda Knox is at the Toronto International Film Festival for the debut of the new Netflix documentary based on her trial.

“I think she’s pleased with it,” Knox’s friend, attorney Anne Bremner told KIRO Radio’s Ron and Don.

Bremner says Knox, who was accused of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher, while studying abroad in Italy, has been living a quiet life in Seattle with her boyfriend and cat, and writing for the West Seattle Herald.

“The only pubic appearances she’s made, besides for this documentary, are for Innocence Project,” Bremner said.

Knox also spent Tuesday at Facebook in Seattle to talk about “the vulnerable intersection between normalcy and public-figure-hood.” She thanked everyone for being kind to her.

In the years that Bremner has spoken with Knox during the trials, she says Knox has become more serious, circumspect, and appreciative of her family and friends.

“She’s grateful that she’s here and she’s grateful for her freedom.”

“Amanda Knox” will be released on Netflix on Sept. 30.

The two trailers are raising eyebrows because the first trailer, “Believe Her,” makes you feel like Knox is innocent. But the second, “Suspect Her,” leaves one left to wonder.

“Either I’m a psychopath in sheep’s clothing, or I am you,” Knox says, staring into the camera.

Gulf nations have found ways to keep oil flowing through the Iran war, but the costs are mounting

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — When Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz at the start of the war, choking off sea passage for some 15 million barrels of oil a day, many feared that prices would skyrocket, cratering the world economy. Instead, nearly seven months on, oil is expensive but not exorbitant, and analysts say […]
