Classy former Mariners player’s home on market for $6.75 million

Sep 19, 2011, 8:27 AM | Updated: Mar 4, 2016, 5:59 am

It’s been more than five years since Jamie Moyer was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, but the classy former Mariner’s impact remains alive and well in the region and U.S. through the Seattle-based Moyer Foundation, a non-profit serving children in severe distress.

The Moyers (Jamie, wife Karen and eight children) moved to Florida a few years ago and the family home, a seven-bedroom, four and one-half bath restored Tudor classic in Magnolia, is on the market for $6,750,000. The annual property taxes on 7,100 square-foot property are $34,969.

The private, gated estate on a half-acre corner lot has been extensively remodeled and features a home theatre, vaulted living room ceilings, three fireplaces, athletic court, outdoor pool with pool house, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and four-car garage.

Jamie Moyer turns 49 on Nov. 18 and hopes to pitch again in the major leagues in 2012. He is recovering from elbow surgery and working out at the Phillies’ training facility in Clearwater, Florida. His oldest son, Dillon, was drafted in 2010 by the Minnesota Twins and plays for the University of California-Irvine.
