Outrage is an understatement: Hillary Clinton should be in prison

Jul 7, 2016, 6:28 AM | Updated: 6:28 am

To say that I am outraged about FBI Director James Comey’s pronouncement about the Hillary investigation is a huge understatement.

I fail to care that Comey is a Republican. And I don’t think this is really that bad of news for Hillary because I believe swing voters are going to forget all about this, if they’re even paying attention in the first place.

Comey mentioned the evidence of lawbreaking. If Hillary was a private in the U.S. Army she would be in prison and everybody knows it.

What do I tell my daughter, who said to me this morning, “If powerful people don’t have to follow the law, then is there really a law?”

If any of us had done what Hillary has done we would be slammed up against a virtual wall. The government would come at us with everything they’ve got. This is what passes for justice?

She uses a private server so she wouldn’t have to respond to any government subpoenas. This is transference of trust in our society. This example of skirting the system, of getting around the law, is what pushes society into “low trust” behaviors.

I am so sad for our country right now. This woman, who shouldn’t be able to even get a security clearance, could now be President of the United States.
