Zillow rolls out new mobile tool for rentals

Seattle-based Zillow announced the launch of Zillow Rentals on iPad, specifically designed to help consumers shop for apartment rentals and single-family home rentals.

Rental shoppers can begin their search via GPS, by drawing one or more search boundaries on the map, or by entering a location. The app allows renters to compare different property photos side by side and view details about potential rentals while navigating neighborhood maps

Property features include time on market, pet policies and number of views.

The company said the new tool has a database of more than 600,000 rental listings.
