Seattle Pacific University is offering a scholarship to students affected by the sudden closure of the Art Institute of Seattle.

The University announced on Friday that the SPU-AI Transfer Scholarship will give eligible Art Institute students $3,000 toward finishing their degrees at Seattle Pacific.

On Wednesday, the Art Institute of Seattle informed the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) that would close on Friday — two weeks before the end of the winter quarter. Click here to read more.

To help students affected by the closure, the WSAC is holding information fairs at the Art Institute of Seattle campus on Tuesday and Wednesday. Click here for more information.

Representatives from Seattle Pacific University will meet with students at the information fairs.

Seattle Pacific University is also inviting Art Institute students to campus for a special ‘Art Institute Visit Day’ on March 15.

“This event will help students who want to start at SPU Spring Quarter, which begins Monday, March 25. Students will be able to talk with faculty and admissions counselors and have their transcripts immediately reviewed. Eligible AI students can also start at SPU in Autumn Quarter in September,” Seattle Pacific University said in a news release.
