Seahawks’ Tyler Lockett wants to be the next Will Smith

Sep 22, 2016, 10:59 AM | Updated: 12:35 pm

Tyler Lockett is a making a name for himself on the football field for the Seahawks, but the charismatic wide receiver also has his eye directed at some stars off the field: on Hollywood Boulevard.

Lockett spoke to 710 ESPN Seattle’s Danny, Dave and Moore about a few commercials he’s starred in recently, including a few with Auburn Volkswagen. Lockett said he has no real experience performing in front of a camera but wants to be an actor.

“Just in one show and one movie to say that I did it,” he said. “I think that I could be a good Denzel, good Will Smith. They need some new actors that are gonna get out there. I think I could be a good one.”

“Sometimes I might just sit there and be on the phone and just be acting, creating my own scene and just go with the flow.”

Check out some of Lockett’s other work. There’s no denying his skills, and the 23-year-old has said he is often mistaken for a high schooler. Maybe he’d be a good fit for a “Fresh Prince” reboot. Here’s how he and his Hollywood heroes stack up.
