Rantz: Maskless Rep. Jayapal admits she ‘undermines our democracy’ in shocking tweets

Seattle Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal admitted she “undermines our democracy” in a pair of shockingly hypocritical tweets. The far-left partisan admits she refuses to “adhere to the basic norms of civility.” Jayapal even bragged about it via Twitter by posting two photos.
Maskless in both photos, Jayapal is seen enjoying the Seattle Kraken game in D.C., on March 5 — while possibly spreading COVID. She was not actively eating or drinking. She wasn’t even holding her breath! While she’d like us to believe her position on the science behind masks changed in the last few days, she’s been rigidly anti-science for most of the pandemic.
Previously, Jayapal compared Republicans who don’t wear masks on elevators at the Capitol to “insurrectionists.” And she called out Republican “selfish idiocy” for refusing to wear a mask. She even claimed not wearing a mask makes you an “extremist.”
Any Member who refuses to wear a mask should be fully held accountable for endangering our lives because of their selfish idiocy. I'm calling for every single Member who refuses to wear a mask in the Capitol to be fined and removed from the floor by the Sergeant at Arms.

Rep. Karen Jayapal pretends to be outraged by breaking mask rules
In an interview on CNN, Jayapal breathlessly complained that Republicans were breaking the rules on masks at the Capitol — the rules that magically changed right before the State of the Union address so President Joe Biden could score points for defeating COVID, after his guidance made it worse.
“This is about wearing a mask, which is mandated in the Capitol – it is mandated in the Capitol,” Jayapal said just about two weeks ago, pretending to be outraged by the very behavior she engages in. “It is to protect our safety, our collective safety, the safety of our staffers …”
How dare Republicans violate the mask requirement. It was mandated! It doesn’t matter that even a recent CDC study concedes cloth masks are useless. There was a random rule in place so breaking it is akin to an “insurrection.”
“This has happened to me,” she continued, “where you get on an elevator and people refuse to wear a mask and your choices are to get off the elevator, or to get on the elevator and tell them to wear a mask.”
“I really believe that our colleagues (who) refuse to even adhere to the basic norms of civility are undermining our democracy and, of course, we’re seeing it in more serious ways, like the Jan. 6 insurrection is part of that and part of the attempt to take down a legitimate democracy from functioning in the way it should,” she said.

Jayapal attempted to create a super spreader event
Virtue Signal Arena Climate Pledge Arena requires masks at events unless actively eating or drinking. In Washington, Jayapal believes this is the right guidance.
In D.C., at Capital One Arena where the game she attended took place, the mask mandate was dropped on March 1. Jayapal apparently believes this is the right guidance in D.C., so she dropped the mask.
But the science on COVID and masks doesn’t change by arena or city. Jayapal has consistently sided with masks-at-all-costs, so she should naturally mask up if it’s still the policy in her district. She used masks as a symbol of one’s supposed concern for other people. So why wouldn’t she keep the mask on?
By not wearing a mask, Jayapal actively attempted to create a super spreader event, endangering the lives of the fans, staff, and players. There could have even been children in attendance — children that live in multi-generational households. Why does Jayapal want to do harm to these families?
What’s Jayapal’s message?
What message does this send? That she cares little about public health.
Jayapal can’t even claim she didn’t have access to a mask. She sells them online at her campaign store. Notably, while hocking $20 cloth masks, she admits online that they don’t work.
I agree with Jayapal when she said: “Any Member who refuses to wear a mask should be fully held accountable for endangering our lives because of their selfish idiocy.”
Jayapal’s “selfish idiocy” was on full display. What is the punishment? Her office did not respond to a request for comment.
Congrats to @SeattleKraken Captain Mark Giordano on his 1000th NHL game! Proudly wearing his jersey. pic.twitter.com/2wiUMnAyCW
