I decided to research this feud between Chrissy Teigen and the President.

Ross: Don’t let details get in the way of a good Trump tweet

Chrissy Teigen is famous model married to famous musician John Legend, who is also a big supporter of criminal justice reform. On Sunday, Legend was on MSNBC for a Town Hall discussing the First Step Act, which was passed last December, and helps federal prisoners re-enter society.

Well, the President was watching, and was ticked off that he wasn’t mentioned as the guy who got it done. He’s the guy who signed the act, and he didn’t even get a shoutout.

So of course he went on Twitter, referring to “boring musician John Legend, and his filthy-mouthed wife.”

On The Ellen Show yesterday Teigen admits the President had a point.

“John is boring, and I do have a foul mouth,” she joked.

But the Tweet ruined their evening because then they had to come up with a clever retort.

“We spent the whole evening handling each other the phone; ‘should I say this? Should I say this?” Teigen described.

They finally settled on something obscene and unrepeatable. Ellen’s audience loved it.

The ongoing struggle for civility on Twitter

Anyway – happy ending, the President now has a new nickname, and millions of people compelled by FOMO to research this feud learned something about criminal justice reform.

If it that’s what it takes, hey, whatever works.
