A Seattle native is hoping to address the sad state of childhood in the Emerald City with his new children’s eBook.

“It’s something that is actually going to be a reality (for) kids that are born in Seattle. They’re going to hear about the Sonics and they’re not going to know who they were. They’re going to ask their parents,” says Author Andrew Gall.

His eBook “Mommy, What’s a Supersonic?” is free on iTunes. Gall says it’s a 32-page child-friendly tale of the greatest tragedy in Seattle sports history.

“Even though they’re gone and as tragic as it is that they’re no longer with us, it is an important part of Seattle’s history,” says Gall.

Investor Chris Hansen’s arena proposal is one reason Gall decided to complete the book now. He is hoping to keep the issue fresh in the minds of Seattle City Council members as they get ready to take a vote on whether to support the plan.
