The roads around Puget Sound are clearing up after pockets of snow showers slowed Monday morning’s commute.
While some areas may see a bit more snow, KIRO 7 Meteorologist Nick Allard says the wintry weather should taper off.
The National Weather Service reports temperatures dipped to near or below freezing in much of the Puget Sound region Monday morning.
Dozens of schools ran two-hour delay due to the weather.

Drier weather and warmer temperatures are expected to develop by the afternoon. Monday’s high is forecast at 44 degrees.
But we’re not in the clear just yet. Allard says light snow is possible Tuesday morning, where some areas could receive a trace to 1 inch before temperatures warm up to the mid-40s.
KIRO 7 meteorologist Joe Raineri reports snow levels will hover around 500 feet for the next couple of days. Warmer and drier weather will move in toward the end of the week into next weekend.
