I-90 in North Bend has reopened after a mudslide halted all eastbound travelers overnight Monday.
The mudslide first started at 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). The mudslide blocked all eastbound lanes of I-90 near Hyak.

Creating detours was hard for the drivers stuck on the highway. According to WSDOT crews, drivers were advised to backtrack, head to SR 2, then return to I-90. This detour took approximately 3.5 hours.
According to KIRO 7, roughly 100 semi trucks were spotted lining the side of the highway at 4 a.m. Tuesday, waiting for the road to reopen.
By 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, WSDOT reopened I-90 with the mudslide now clear.
