Man riding scooter collides with vehicle in Everett, transported to hospital

A man in his 20s was riding a scooter in Everett when he collided with a vehicle.
The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday near Evergreen Way and SW Everett Mall Way, according to the Everett Police Department.
The man was sent to the hospital for his injuries.
The right turn lane from northbound Evergreen Way to SW Everett Mall Way was closed while the police department’s Traffic Safety Unit investigated.
Man killed while riding electric scooter in Seattle
Earlier Tuesday, a man died after being struck by a minivan while riding an electric scooter in North Seattle.
A bus driver found the man in the middle of the intersection near 24th Ave. NW and NW 85th St., according to the Seattle Police Department.
Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and tried to save his life, but the 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
