The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) issued a travel advisory Tuesday afternoon announcing a Wednesday morning closure of all westbound I-90 lanes near milepost 52 at Snoqualmie Pass.
The closure affects all westbound lanes of I-90 near milepost 52 at Snoqualmie Summit.
WSDOT is getting a jump-start on winter maintenance operations and requires a full closure on westbound I-90. This work will also close the on-ramp at milepost 52 to westbound I-90.
Wednesday’s closure is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. WSDOT did not give an estimate of how long the closure might last, but did add that this work is weather-dependent, which could impact how long the closure will last.
This work is in addition to ongoing work at the summit that has traffic down to a single lane at times, Monday through Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Eastbound I-90 will remain open.
