Let the record show that he had no trouble accepting the results of the election.

Let the record show that a lot of pollsters will likely be looking for work, because there was a hidden group of voters. It was the people the pollsters thought had given up on voting. When in fact, they’d just been waiting for someone they felt was worth voting for.

Let the record show that if you can control social media, you don’t need party support. That you can win even if your opponent outspends you. That you don’t need a carefully-organized ground game. That the ability to fill arenas with enthusiastic supporters is actually a better predictor of victory than all those snazzy computer models.

Let the record show that fact-checks only bore people. And that you can lose all the debates and still win the election.

And let the record also show that unlike ordinary politicians, the president-elect’s promises are quite specific.

“I’m going to begin swiftly removing criminal illegal immigrants from this country … We are going to get rid of the criminals and it’s going to happen within one hour after I take office, we start, OK?” Trump said during his campaign.
