Dave’s Commentary: Christine O’Donnell walks out on
Piers Morgan

piersShould this be
considered a rude question?

Piers Morgan: “Do you think you
still think
masturbation is wrong?”

Christine O’Donnell: “Let’s not even go there.”

Of course it’s a rude question.

BUT, it is also an interesting question. It’s the kind
of question where, if you’re in the kitchen peeling a
potato, and CNN is on in the next room, you drop the knife
and run to hear what the answer is.

And that’s why Piers Morgan asked Christine O’Donnell
the question. You remember her…Tea Party candidate who
lost the Delaware Senate election last year? No? Doesn’t
matter – whoever she is, you want to hear her answer:

Morgan: “Are you still a supporter of total
abstinence, even if you’re on your own?”

Even that version of the question is very rude. And so
she refused to answer, pointing out she’d made those
comments a long time ago, and now she’s written a book
about politics, and she wants to talk about the Tea Party
and serious policy stuff:

O’Donnell: “why don’t you ask about me questions about
what I say in the chapter called “Our follower in chief,
where I criticize Barack Obama?”

Because… no one drops their knife and runs to the TV
to hear more Obama bashing! We know it by heart!

And so, Christine O’Donnell… walked out on Piers
Morgan:

“Where are you going? You’re leaving?”

At which point I had to drop the knife and run to the
TV a second time.

This is why serious politicians strive to be boring,
and also why you should never try to cook with the TV on.

Ross: Voters weren’t just voting for change, they were voting for a hormone
