How to quickly cure nausea

Cory Booker is the mayor of Newark, New Jersey and a bona fide hero who rescued a woman from a burning house in his neighborhood last month.

He’s also a spokesman for the Obama campaign.

“I’m a surrogate for the Obama campaign. The messages that they’re sending me out to talk about is nothing about this,” said Booker.

He was on Meet The Press criticizing not just Republican attack ads, but his OWN party for stereotyping Mitt Romney as a ruthless, job-killing Gordon Gekko.

“This kind of stuff is nauseating to me on both sides. It’s nauseating to the American public,” said Booker.

And when he listed the type of political attacks that nauseate him, he blamed BOTH parties.

“Stop attacking private equity,” said Booker. “This stuff has got to stop.”

In which workers talk about losing their jobs when Romney’s private equity firm took over their company.

“It makes me sick to my stomach when I sit there and watch Mitt Romney tell the American people about how he creates all these jobs,” said one worker in the video.

Which may be why, a few hours after his Meet the Press appearance, Mayor Booker posted a YouTube video indicating that the nausea had passed.

“Let me be clear. Mitt Romney has made his business record a centerpiece of his campaign. He’s talked about himself as a job creator, and therefore it is reasonable for the Obama campaign to examine that record,” said Booker.

Reminding us that just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so nausea is in the stomach of the digester.
