The polls are now showing a TIE for the Republican presidential nomination. There was the Gingrich surge, then the Ron Paul surge, and now, finally, the Romney surge — ROMNEY now tied with Gingrich.
But with this much jostling for the ball, you want to keep your eye on the sidelines because politics is a game where the special teams can send themselves in at any time…and on Fox Business last night, there was a little commotion on the bench …
“It’s not too late for folks to jump in. I don’t know. Who knows what will happen in the future,” said Sarah Palin on the FOX Business channel.
Yes, there was Sarah Palin, in full uniform, wearing a very visible cross pendant, with a lighted Christmas tree in the background, on the Fox Business channel buttering up anchor Eric Bolling:
“It would be fun to work with you Eric on a debate and on other issues that have to do with energy policy because I know your decades that you have spent studying energy.”
And Eric was keeping it real, doing what athletes do when they want to win:
“Before we go I’m going to Tebow,” said Bolling.
An on-air Tebow, hoping for a Hail Sarah. Will it happen? Can’t say.
In the meantime I continue to scan the bench…
“Look we’re a bunch of fools and we’re being led by a fool,” said Donald Trump.
Anybody want to Tebow to get him on the field? Or would that be greedy?
