Candidate Mitt Romney has promised to do what the Supreme Court would not do.

“That is I will act to repeal Obamacare,” said Mitt Romney.

But there is someone standing squarely in the way of repeal. And he is a formidable opponent. His name is, Mitt Romney! The Mitt Romney who wants to repeal Obamacare is going to have to get past the Mitt Romney who in the same statement was adamant that he would insure people with pre-existing conditions.

“You’ve got to make sure that those people who have preexisting conditions know that they will be able to be insured and they will not lose their insurance,” said Romney.

Which is part of Obamacare. And he would insure poor people.

“We also have to assure that we do our very best to help each state in their effort to assure every American has access to affordable health care,” said Romney.

Also part of Obamacare. There is one big thing he would do that he says Obamacare does not do.

“Something that Obamacare does not do, that must be done in real reform is helping lower the cost of health care and health insurance,” said Romney.

But he would have to cut those costs without touching the nation’s costliest health care program, Medicare, because in the same speech, a guy named of Mitt Romney seemed to find the idea of cutting Medicare outrageous:

“Obamacare cuts Medicare, cuts Medicare by approximately $500 billion,” said Romney.

So let the repeal begin, but for the repeal to be successful; the repealers are going to have to get out of their own way.
