One clear winner in the Soleimani pop quiz

Last week, the big political drama was Donald Trump’s botched answer to a pop quiz involving foreign leaders with difficult names.
“Are you familiar with General Soleimani?” asked host Hugh Hewitt.
“Yes … but go ahead,” Trump said. “Give me a little … tell me.”
It turned out he had no idea who General Soleimani was.
So Hewitt tried a little experiment. The Trump interview was prerecorded; it hadn’t aired yet. So he called up the other business candidate — former CEO Carly Fiorina — and asked her the exact same question.
“Are you familiar with General Soleimani?” Hewitt asked.
“Uh, yes,” she said.
Fiorina had exactly the same reaction as Trump! So they both had to stall for time, but there was one big difference: she came up with an answer.
“We know that the general of Quds Force has been a powerful tool…” she said.
Trump called it a gotcha question and said he didn’t need to know the answer because he’d hire someone who would know, were he to become president.
Fiorina, on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” didn’t buy that.
“I think it is very difficult to lead if you don’t have the requisite knowledge,” she said.
Ouch — prompting host John Dickerson to ask, “Would Donald Trump be fit to be Commander in Chief?”
“Well, that’s not a question for me,” Fiorina said. “That’s a question for the voters. I am most definitely fit to be Commander in Chief and that’s why I running for that office.”
No hesitation on that answer.
