The boys on the bus

Latest viral video – four middle school boys on a bus
in a suburb of Rochester NY, ridiculing their school bus
monitor – 68-year-old grandmother named Karen Klein.
WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE:
The kid who taped it on his iPhone said it was peer
pressure.
“They like told me to record it, so I’m like yeah I’m
just going to record it.”
When asked if he said anything mean when he was
recording, the boy said: “No. Not nothing probably like oh
you’re fat or nothing.”
But the other kids were full of fat jokes – one kid
threatens to cut her.
“If I cut you like the whole value of you is going to
be coming out McDonald’s.”
They thought they had the most hilarious stand up
routine, and they wanted a record.
And Karen later admitted to WHAM-TV what was going
through her mind.
“I wanted to scratch their eyes out, but I stayed
calm,” said Klein.
But here’s what’s remarkable about this incident. She
didn’t, even when the kids said stuff like this: “You
don’t have a family because they all killed themselves
because they didn’t want to be near you,” said one girl.
That really stung because her oldest son had committed
suicide.
The police have the kids’ names, the school’s running
an investigation, and there’s a website raising money to
send her on the vacation of her life. But Karen Klein
seemed to maintain her sense of humor and says she’ll
probably stay at her job.
“These were regular, normal kids you know. One-on-one
they’re OK,” Klein said.
As for the kids in the video, they’ll grow up knowing
those 12 minutes will exist somewhere in cyberspace
forever.
