Listen to Today’s bedtime story

Once upon a time, there was a married couple, living in the biggest most beautiful house on the block. But they had a problem: they had been borrowing for years just to make ends meet.

bedtimeOne day the husband said “this is making me sick to my stomach, we must spend less.” To which his wife replied, but this big house needs a lot of upkeep, we can’t just cut expenses, we have to bring in more money.”

They agreed on that — but in the meantime, the monthly bills were due.

Now because this couple lived in a big house, and always made their payments, their credit score was over 800, and banks cheerfully lent them money at less than 1% interest.

But the husband said no — this makes me sick to my stomach — no more borrowing PERIOD. The wife PLEADED “But we need time to change our ways.”

“That’s what you said last time. I’ve made my decision.”

And so they didn’t take the loan, and stopped paying their bills to teach themselves a lesson.

Within six months, the power was out, the gas was cut off, the roof was leaking and the whole big beautiful house was developing a mold problem.

Desperate, they finally went back to the bank, but now their credit score was about a 2, and of course the bank laughed in their face. However, just outside the bank a guy in a double breasted striped suit instantly gave them a payday loan at 400% interest.

And within a year … the couple had fixed up the big beautiful house, turned it into a profitable grow operation, EASILY paid their bills on time, and their nausea was completely under control.

Moral of the story? One way or another, the bills will be paid.
