Trump could be unbeatable, unless his tax returns are released

This was the week Rudy Giuliani shocked everybody not once but TWICE by going on Fox News and shamelessly telling the truth. The truth that the president arranged to pay off Stormy Daniels with his own money to shut her up before the election.

On MSNBC, Stormy’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, declared Rudy to be his new best friend.

“And Rudy, if you’re listening, if we could send a car for you to appear on those shows we’ll do it every day. Just let us know, we’ll take care of it.”

TIMELINE: Key moments in Trump-Stormy Daniels saga

He’s not alone in thinking this is the thing that will bring Trump down.

But then, he was asked this question: “What is the worst case — criminal case — with the payment of $130,000 to your client.”

He stumbles before answering, and then says, “I could certainly envision a scenario whereby there could be campaign finance violations…”

He’s the opposing lawyer and the most damning thing he can come up with is that Donald Trump would be guilty of an unreported campaign contribution.

Now, yes, that is a crime. And you could argue Bill Clinton got impeached for less. But Trump may not care. Why not? Because impeachment boosted Clinton’s approval rating to 73 percent. He could easily have won a third term.

That’s why even Nancy Pelosi is telling Democrats to stop the impeachment talk! Impeachment could make Trump unbeatable. Unless his tax returns come out – but one eruption of truth at a time.
