Listen to Dave Ross Commentary: What about Buddy?
Some Republicans are still casting around for an alternative to Mitt Romney.
What about this guy?
“I go to Michigan next and talk about jobs. Then I go to Arizona and then talk about immigration.”

This is Buddy Roemer – Harvard Business School grad, Congressman for eight years, governor of Louisiana for four. A capitalist, yes, but a slave to no one – not to a corporation, not to a party – because he limits donations $100:
“I’m the only guy running that doesn’t take PAC money and believes in full disclosure, you know every person. I’ve raised half a million bucks. $51 is the average gift,” says Roemer.
A noble stand – which has left him with only enough for a travel budget and some yard signs. He got exactly 941 votes in New Hampshire.
“It’s not about the money. It’s about a system that rewards the money. I haven’t been asked to be in a single debate, and I’m the only Congressman and Governor running for this job,” says Roemer.
Which is why Buddy Roemer wants voters to swamp the networks with demands that he be invited to the debates … as a Republican who believes in capitalism…
“You need a speed limit, but then let it work,” says Roemer.
But who at the same time is 100 percent free of special interests.
“I don’t owe my soul to the Republican party, or to getting elected, I’m free, and I can tell the truth. Mitt Romney’s bought and sold. He admits it. Here’s how he admits it, ‘corporations are people.’ No they’re not Mitt.
