‘Right place at the right time’: Superfan finds Seahawks in unforgettable moment at Disneyland

After the Seahawks’ Super Bowl win, Sam Darnold and Kenneth Walker III took a trip over to Disneyland, where one lucky 12th man happened to be in the right place at the right time for the victory parade.

Louis Alier, a diehard Seahawks fan and Seattle Sports listener for more than 25 years, called into “The Jake and Spike Show” on KIRO Newsradio to detail what the scene looked like at Disneyland as the Seahawks players and fans took over the premises.

“The reason we came down was for our best friend’s 50th wedding anniversary. We thought that it would interfere with the game, but we found out that on Sunday, we were free,” Alier said. “We went to the Splitsville burger place in Disneyland, and there were so many 12s, so many Seahawks. I lost my voice. During the entire game, the places were packed with Seahawks fans.”

Alier explained how the atmosphere for his Super Bowl watch party at Disneyland was top-tier, with a vast majority of 12s compared to Patriots fans.

“People were thrilled, and when we were at that Splitsville, there were maybe two or three Patriots fans,” Alier said. “The rest were all Seattle fans with their gear and everything. We were chanting back and forth with Seahawks fans, and I tell you, it was fantastic. We were at the right place at the right time.”

As a long-time listener of “Brock and Salk”, Alier noted that he heard the news that the Seahawks players would be in town by listening to the show.

“I listen to Brock and Salk every morning, so this morning I got up at six, and I said, ‘Hey, you guys, the Seahawks are going to be in a parade down Disneyland,'” Alier said. “I have never seen so many people in Disneyland, but the 12s are everywhere.”
