CEO Meg Gluth: The Tax Hits My Employees, Not My Yacht
Meg Gluth, CEO of Catalynt, pays 100% of her employees' health insurance premiums, covers their cell phones and home internet, and lets them leave for family activities without burning PTO. She employs slightly more than 60 people internationally. And she says Washington's "millionaire tax" is going to force her to start cutting exactly those things.
Gluth joins John Curley to explain why the 9.9% tax on income above $1 million disproportionately affects pass-through businesses — LLCs, S-corps, professional corporations — where business income flows through to the owner's personal return whether they pocket it or not.
