Pentagon Will Livestream Nidal Hasan's Firing Squad
The Pentagon is planning to livestream the firing squad execution of Nidal Hasan on December 3rd — the same day of the week and time of day as the 2009 Fort Hood massacre that killed 13 people and wounded more than 30.
No execution in the United States has been carried out in public since 1936, when 20,000 people showed up to watch a hanging in Kentucky while vendors sold hot dogs.
John Curley and producer Joe Wallace break down the announcement, the pendulum swing from the Obama administration calling the attack "workplace violence" to the current administration making it a public spectacle, and the question nobody seems to be asking: what does this do to the families?
