Jadon Nicoara, a 27-year-old from Walla Walla, joins Jake and Spike to share the story of surviving a brown bear attack on a caribou hunt about 100 miles southwest of Deadhorse, Alaska.
A charging bear at 15 feet. Broken facial bones. A crushed foot. A cousin who happened to be a doctor. A satellite SOS device only one of them could operate. A gun barrel clogged with dirt that blew outward instead of back. And a helicopter that just happened to be close by.
Jadon walks through the whole ordeal — including the video he recorded for his wife and daughters when he thought he was dying — and why he sees every break as measured, calculated, and exactly what was supposed to happen.
