Finding a place to park in downtown Seattle can be a big pain, but some new apps and websites are making it a little easier.

The Downtown Seattle Association has launched a new interactive website showing parking lots and garages in Pioneer Square and the central waterfront area. With a click, it also shows you the prices and operating hours, to help find a spot that doesn’t necessarily break the bank.

The City of Seattle also offers an online map and mobile app that shows the location of a number of garages as well the real time availability of parking spots at 3rd & Stewart, The Washington State Convention Center, Pacific Place, Pike Place, Puget Sound Plaza, and the Washington Athletic Center.

A number of companies have created apps for larger cities showing the availability of on-street parking, but so far none have been created for Seattle.

Along with parking information on the Downtown Seattle Association site, drivers can also get word of upcoming parking promotions like the free parking at three area garages for the First Thursday Art Walks in Pioneer Square.
